This is my first attempt at writing a blog so I'm actually not sure I know what I'm doing but here goes -------
One of my favorite things to do here in Uganda is to work with the youth. Leading the youth choir and teaching bible study is a real joy for me. These youth have become so special to me. They love to come to my home on Sunday and hang out, do some baking and watch a movie. My house becomes a wild crazy place and I love it!
I have began training some of the youth to teach bible study and this past Sunday was the first Sunday for one of the youth to teach. Philip is one of the most faithful students and he was the first to ask if he could teach. He taught a lesson on Genesis 1, the story of Creation, and did an amazing job. He did a lot of research and brought many scriptures to go along with Genesis 1 and used the scriptures in a bible drill.
The choir is beginning practice for the Christmas drama/musical. We realized that this year has gone by so fast and this is not too early to begin practice. The drama will include all those in the church who want to be involved. Our prayer is for the community to come and for them to hear clearly the story of Christmas and why we need a Savior/ why Jesus came to dwell among man.
1Timothy 4:12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
Hi Bobbi, you sure do a great job working with the youth. Your influence on these young people is going to create a whole new generation of transformed people in Amagoro community. Thanks for allowing God to use use in this way, and thanks for being so devoted to this cause.
